In the summer of 2013 I spent two weeks in Venice, Italy creating prints and watching the water along the canals and lagoons. I created the base prints for what would later become a series of works devoted to the patterns of water in 2013, and subsequent years. A quote from Katherine Anne Porter seems to describe the way water can transport our thoughts and memories to the forefront of our thoughts “…..memory drifted into my mind like a bit of weed carried in a current and caught there…”
