Artist Statement about this work:

I was lucky enough to see the Taj Mahal on a trip to India. I took a photograph from across the river Yamuna – The Taj seemed to shimmer like a mirage in the distance. The architecture of this structure has been described as a prayer among other things – I think if it as a kind of prayer and a reflection on the power of love.
