About this work:

In many cultures repetitive acts are associated with prayers and with the creation of positive actions to benefit someone. This sentiment carefully stitched into a pillowcase by my grandmother spoke of those journeys we take in our minds as we sleep, but also of the wishes my grandmother sent to me through her careful embroidery.
